F.O.O.L - Keep On Rocking

As if we needed any more, there's now another reason to love Monstercat. F.O.O.L has just made his debut on the label, and he's brought a brand new track with him called Keep On Rocking. Wasn't that nice of him?

It's a sprawling Electro track, that seems to take delight in going where you least expect it to - something that you can't say about a lot of electronic music these days. To find out a little bit more about it, head on down below.

Keep On Rocking is a bit of an odd beast. It draws influences from all kinds of places. It's pretty hard electro mostly, but has hints of a retro 80s vibe that are provided by some of the pulsing bassline sounds used. And halfway through, after what sounds like is going to be a simple fadeout, there's a delightful half tempo section, with stunning drums and a cracking melody line. This section really provides a nice, chilled out contrast to the ferocity and hardness of the drops that sandwich it.

Speaking of which, during the aforementioned drops, I dare you not to move. The second one particularly is spectacular, with harmony parts to the melody that we've already been exposed to, and a bassline designed to make you bounce.

Is this the start of a long and fruitful parterntship between F.O.O.L and Monstercat? Who knows, but I'm all for it if it's going to produce magic like this.
