Röyksopp announce final album, The Inevitable End

Hot on the heels of their collaborative mini album with vocal extroadinaire Robyn, Röyksopp have announced that they are to return later this year will a fully fledged album all of their own, The Inevitable End. However, this exciting new release comes with a caveat - this is to be the last album that the pair release.

Don't be too disheartened, though; Röyksopp aren't actually going anywhere, and they're going to continue to make music. But this will be the last release in the traditional album format that they make. No word on what to expect after this, but for now, we have one last album to look forward to. You can see the album art, the duo's statement, and the full tracklist below. We'll be reviewing the two new tracks they've already released very soon. The Inevitable End is released on 10 November.

Statement from Röyksopp

"We feel like this is a goodbye to the traditional album format, In our consecutive run of albums, we have been able to say what we want to say and do what we want to do with the LP. We’re not going to stop making music, but the album format as such, this is the last thing from us…"
