Feel Good Friday - Week 2

Come on, take a seat. You’ve been working hard all week. Allow us to massage you with our tentacles… What do you mean, that’s not your sort of thing? Hmm. Well, here’s a selection of laid-back tracks, carefully curated by EO to get you set for the weekend instead.

It's back! Feel Good Friday has been away for a long time now, for various reasons, but our most popular feature is back for a brand new instalment. Yes, you really must love a laid-back start to your weekend, because the original test feature we did for this proved to be our most popular debut for a weekly feature EVER.

...admittedly we don't have many, but still! Anyway, it's time for you to kick back with a stiff drink, and click below to enjoy this week's selection of chilled out tracks from the likes of Yuksek, Röyksopp and more.

We've gone pretty oldskool this week - most of these tracks have been around for ages. Just consider this a bit of a trip down memory lane. We kick off with Yuksek's Extraball, from his acclaimed debut album. It's one of the best tracks on it, and it's easy to see why he's become so popular with his unique brand of French-Disco-House.

Then it's time for an old Calvin Harris track. Ahhh, remember when his music was... unique? Yeah, it was a long time ago. Anyway, relive the joys of Ready For The Weekend, the title track from the Scot's second album.

We move onto the master of funk, Pretty Lights, who astounds with inarguably his most instantly recognisable track, I Can See It In Your Face. This one always goes off live, and is a set staple now despite being released back in 2010.

Then on to something newer: Melvv's bootleg of Cashmere Cat's Mirror Maru, that we featured on the blog a while ago. It retains the best aspects of the original, but chops and changes it to make it feel like a totally new beast.

Röyksopp featured in our first feature, and they're back again with a much older track, You Don't Have A Clue, from their incredibly fun album Junior. This one's a real dreamy, ethereal track, that manages to be both relaxing and incredibly catchy.

Next is an absolute classic from Mr Scruff. Get A Move On is arguably the track that made his name. He's not one for doing things by half - though you might think this track is long at 7:40, that's nothing compared to his sets which can last around 5 HOURS.

DJ Fresh's latest single Flashlight with the vocal talents of Ellie Goulding gets an incredibly chilled remix courtesy of Jack Beats, who put a nice House spin on things. It takes a while to get going, but it's a delightfully interesting interpretation of the original.

And finally, a track we raved about back in August. French band POOM's track Les Vailes is simply stunning, an absolute breath of Disco-infused fresh air into what can be a very monotonous musical landscape.

That's it for this week! What's your favourite of our selections this time around? Let us know, and if you've got any suggestions for the next instalment, we'd love to hear them! We're pretty flexible with what's 'electronic' when it comes to our chilled selections, so feel free to think outside the box a bit.
