Canal+ & BBC Worldwide join forces for Daft Punk documentary

Few dances acts are quite as enigmatic as, and garner as much attention as, Daft Punk. They exploded back onto the scene last year with Random Access Memories, their first new studio album since 2005's Human After All. The hype and interest that the duo are able to generate means it little surprise that a documentary has now been commissioned, with BBC Worldwide Productions France producing a new 60 minute documentary for Canal+ to tell the story of the much loved robots.

There's no word on whether the pair themselves will actually be involved with the project, or whether interviews etc. with them will feature, but it would be surprising if this were the case, as Daft Punk are never particularly forthcoming when it comes to providing that sort of thing.

You can see the full press release below, and you can expect to be able to see the documentary (if you can speak French) at some point next year.
